History of Pasargadae World Heritage Site
The Pasargad World Heritage Site was established in the second half of 2001 in the framework of Persepolis and Pasargadae National Project with the aim of conservation, restoration, training, processing various information and publishing them in the Persepolis and Pasargadae areas. After approval, The law of establishing permanent research bases at the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization has officially expanded its activities in various fields of scientific research in the Pasargad Cultural Perspective, including Murghab Plain, Pasargad Plain, Plain Kamin, Sarpiniran Area.
The research and implementation activities of this site is following in the fields of documentation and photogrammetry, conservation and restoration, geology, archaeological and geophysics, architecture and civil engineering, introduction and training, databank and library, statistics and economics of tourism development process.
At the beginning of the World Heritage Base, the site has succeeded in drafting the Universal Declaration of Pasargadae registration, and send it to the UNESCO World Heritage List. As a result, the Pasargadae World Heritage Site was registered with the number 1106, on July 17, 2004, at the twenty-eighth meeting in China.
This world heritage site is based on the use of young forces, graduate and undergraduate students and the doctorate, in addition to the creation and training of specialist staff, did not forget the principle of communication with universities and scientific centers and benefited from the latest methods available at the centers and institutes of science and research. the wide range of research topics in various fields related to the Pasargad world heritage has led the research center to collaborate with many domestic and foreign research institutes in various fields.

Collaboration with CNRS National Center for Scientific Research of CNRS on Aerial Photography, Archaeological Excavation in Tang-e Boulaghi - Archaeological excavation in Tang-e Boulaghi with the collaboration of archeological teams from Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Poland, and the United States.
- Cooporation project with the Instituto per la conservazione ed il restauro in the field of conservation and Restoration, documentation, photogrammetry and laser scanning, geology, archeology, chemistry, earthquake and etc.
- Collaboration with Lyon 2 University in the field of archeology, geophysics, geo-electric, surveying and etc.
- Pasargadae World Heritage Site, in addition to using young and energetic forces, has not forgotten well-trained forward forces and helped them along with the young forces. This, in addition to respecting and inviting experts, will also benefit young experts from their experiences and serve as a link between the old and the new generations.
